Medicare Part D Premiums Expected to Drop Again in 2019

For the second year in a row, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services anticipates that Medicare Part D premiums will decrease.

CMS recently published their 2019 Average Basic Premiums Projection, which has some good news for Part D plan holders!

For the second year running, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) anticipate Medicare Part D premiums will drop. The change was announced in the 2019 average basic premiums projection. The average premiums are expected to fall $1.09, from $33.59 to $32.50. This follows a $1.20 drop in 2018, which was the first anticipated drop since 2012.
