The Federal Health Marketplace is a new transparent and competitive insurance marketplace for qualified health benefit plans. The Marketplace offers you a choice of health plans that meet certain benefits and cost standards. The Marketplace can also help you find out if you are eligible for health tax credits that make coverage more affordable.
Open enrollment is closed for 2016. However, you can get coverage with a special enrollment status. Just contact us and we'll provide answers for your options.
Open enrollment for 2017 starts, November 1st 2016 and runs through January 31st, 2017.
We are certified & approved agents with the Federal exchange and can provide assistance and help with your insurance needs on that exchange.
Keep in mind that you won't pay more for your coverage if you use NorthWest Benefits Solutions agents. We can help you understand all of the plans in the exchange for pricing, coverage quality and other important features of each plan. We also offer assistance after you enroll.
Our online enrollment portal allows you to actually register with the Federal Marketplace exchange and to receive your premium tax credit if you qualify. Just use the links on the left, to start the process.
If you don't qualify for any premium tax credit, we recommend that you apply on a direct basis to the insurance company.
Just visit our private individual health insurance link exchange.
One item to note on comparing the various metal plans. You could qualify for Cost Sharing Reduction if you qualify for a premium tax credit. This means you pay less for doctors, hospitals and prescriptions, only if you select a Silver plan. Our quoting tool will identify with this icon.
You could qualify for Medicaid based on your income for 2016/2017. If so, you'll need to apply with the Oregon Health Plan. We have provided a web page portal as a resource for online enrollment. Just click on the OHP logo.
